According to the Index of housing prices, the fourth quarter of 2017 was marked by the growth of 7.2% compared to the annual average, which is the highest result since 2007. Prices for new buildings in the past year increased on average by 5.9%. In this category of improvement are observed for four years, but the most significant growth (6.5 percent) was recorded in 2016. In the secondary housing market rose last year by 6.3%. The maximum rate (8.2 percent) in this segment was achieved in 2007. In regional terms, the most notable increases were recorded in Rioja, Asturias and the Canary Islands.
